Over the past decade, the Louisiana Policy Institute for Children has advanced policies to ensure that Louisiana’s young children are ready for success in school and in life. In addition to celebrating our milestones, we are also focused on the important work ahead. On August 27th, we hosted an informational webinar in which we invited all public office candidates to attend in order for them to have a better understanding of the current condition of early care and education in our state. We wanted to ensure that candidates continue to have the necessary data and research to inform their campaigns. Watch the recording here!

 

On August 29th, we released the results of our annual Provider Survey, where we asked child care providers what challenges have impacted their program or business, including financial losses, staffing turnover, and barriers to enrollment. Watch the recording here!
